My kid has been at Stepping Stone for a bit now and it's basically your average city daycare experience. The place on Michigan Ave seems clean enough day-to-day, and I haven't seen any major red flags with pests or anything gross like that, which is a relief. They're pretty good about the basic handwashing routines, but the communication can be a bit hit or miss depending on which staff member is at the front desk. Sometimes I feel like I'm the last to know when a bug is going around the classroom until my kid comes home with a fever. It’s not terrible, but definitely feels like they’re juggling a lot and things get missed. It’s a decent spot if you’re in the Near South Side, just be prepared to stay on top of them for updates on health stuff.
