A mom in Chicago is building an app for parents to share what illnesses are going around locally in our daycares, schools, and neighborhoods. It's especially handy for RSV, strep throat, pink eye, hand-foot-and-mouth, lice, and flu. The app is called Ickly. It's on the web and in the App Store for iPhone (Android is coming soon), and it's genuinely easy and kind of fun to use. I just signed up for a new app called Ickly, a crowd-sourced kids' illness radar for our local daycares, schools, and neighborhoods. It covers most daycares and schools in Chicago, and it's free and anonymous.
