  • I'm really torn about Busy Bees. While the teachers seem nice and the kids are definitely having fun, the cleanliness is a big worry for me. It’s a huge facility—they take over 100 kids—and it honestly feels like a germ factory sometimes. My little one has been sick almost every other week since starting, and I rarely get updates on whether something like hand-foot-and-mouth or RSV is going around until it's too late. The place often looks pretty cluttered, and I've seen some management reviews online that make me wonder how much they actually prioritize deep cleaning versus just keeping things moving. For the price, I expected a much tighter ship when it comes to hygiene and health protocols.

  • My little one has been at Busy Bees in Bridgeport for a few months now and I’m honestly pretty happy with the health side of things. It’s a daycare, so you’re always gonna get those seasonal sniffles, but the staff is really on top of wiping down the high-touch areas and toys. They have a pretty strict fever policy—if your kid picks up a temp, they’re calling you right away and you have to wait a full 24 hours before they can come back. It’s a bit of a pain for work schedules sometimes, but it definitely keeps the major bugs from sweeping through the whole classroom every week. I also noticed they’re pretty good about making sure the kids actually wash their hands before snacks and after playing outside, which isn't always a given at every center I've seen.
