  • Honestly, Reach Higher feels like a pretty typical city daycare. The staff at the Wells St location are really nice and my kid is happy, but it's a bit of a mixed bag on the health side. They're usually okay about calling when there's a fever going around, but I've definitely noticed the rooms can feel a bit cramped and stuffy, especially during the winter. It’s a professional setting, but you can tell they are spread thin sometimes. I do wish they were a bit more aggressive with the sanitizing because it feels like once one kid gets a sniffle, the whole class has it for a month. It’s fine for the neighborhood and convenient, but nothing that really blows me away in terms of wellness or extra health precautions.

  • Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with how things are going at Reach Higher. My toddler seems to be home sick more than they are actually there, and I don't feel like the cleaning is as thorough as it should be for a professional center. Every time I walk in, it just feels a bit stuffy and cluttered, which makes me worry about the ventilation and how germs are spreading. Communication is also super hit or miss—I'll find out a kid in class has hand-foot-and-mouth days after the fact, which is just not okay when you’re trying to keep your family healthy. The staff-to-child ratio feels stretched thin sometimes, so I doubt they have time to really sanitize the toys properly during the day. For what we pay, I expected a much higher standard for hygiene and illness management.
