Honestly, I'm pretty worried about the health environment at Pershing West. The chronic absenteeism rate is super high, sitting around 35%, which usually means there's a lot of illness floating around or the kids just don't feel supported enough to show up. It feels like there’s always a bug going through the classrooms, and the communication about health stuff is basically non-existent. My kid complains about the bathrooms being messy and feeling crowded since the student-teacher ratio is pushing 30:1 in some spots. It’s hard for the staff to keep an eye on everything when they're that stretched thin, and I definitely don't see a strong wellness culture here. It feels more like they’re just trying to keep their heads above water than actually focusing on a healthy space for the kids.
