  • Honestly, I’m pretty concerned about the state of Westcott lately. The building itself feels like it’s falling apart—I saw on the board agenda that they’re just now getting around to fixing flooring thresholds at the entrance, and it makes you wonder what else is being neglected inside the classrooms. The chronic absenteeism here is a huge red flag too; it’s well over 30%, which usually means the school is struggling to keep a healthy, consistent environment for the kids. With the student-to-teacher ratios being as high as they are, there’s just no way the staff can keep up with sanitizing or monitoring when kids are coming in sick. It feels like a cycle of illness and missed days that never ends, and I don't see enough being done to address the wellness side of things.
