Bright Scholars Clubhouse Prep

Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Bright Scholars Clubhouse. It feels like my little one is coming home with a new bug every other week, and the communication about what's going around the classroom is basically non-existent. The space is pretty cramped for the number of kids they have in there, and you can tell the staff is overwhelmed, which makes me think the cleaning takes a backseat. I’ve noticed the trash cans overflowing and some of the toys look like they haven't seen a wipe-down in days. Also, their policy on sick kids seems really lax—I've seen kids dropped off with clear fevers and constant coughing without anyone stepping in, which just makes it a cycle of germs for the rest of our families.

I've had my little one at Bright Scholars for about six months now and honestly, the cleanliness is what stands out most to me. You know how some daycares have that weird 'old milk' smell? This place always smells fresh and you can tell they actually scrub the toys down. They are super strict about the fever policy—which is annoying when you have to leave work, but I appreciate that they don't just let RSV or flu rip through the whole classroom. Communication is pretty solid; I usually get a text or a note in the app if there's a bug going around the Brainerd area. My only gripe is that I wish they did a bit more organic snack options, but overall, it's a very healthy and safe spot for the kids.
