  • I honestly have mixed feelings about Dreamchild. While the staff is mostly nice, the cleanliness of the facility on 87th St has been a major concern of mine lately. It feels like every other week my little one is coming home with another bug, and the communication regarding illness outbreaks in the classroom is pretty much nonexistent. I’ve caught a few whiffs of some musty smells in the back area that make me worry about the ventilation, especially in an older building like this. They definitely need to step up their game with deep cleaning and actually enforcing their sick-child policy instead of letting symptoms slide.

  • Honestly, I’ve been really happy with Dreamchild so far. The facility always smells clean when I drop off my son, and you can tell the staff actually stays on top of sanitizing the toys and cubbies. They are pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a literal headache for my work schedule, but it definitely keeps the 'daycare plague' from spreading through the whole class every week. My only tiny gripe is that communication about minor sniffles in the classroom could be a little faster, but overall, it's a solid, healthy environment for the kids.
