  • Honestly, Joyful Seeds is just okay when it comes to the health side of things. It’s an older building in Bridgeport, so while they try to keep it clean, you definitely get that 'urban daycare' vibe where things feel a bit cramped. My biggest gripe is the communication; when a bug is going around the classroom, we usually don't hear about it until our kid is already coming down with something. They follow the standard sick-child policies, but sometimes it feels like they’re a bit lax on enforcing the '24-hour fever-free' rule just to keep the rooms full. It's not a total disaster, and the staff is sweet, but I wish they were more proactive about sanitizing the high-touch areas and keeping us in the loop on local outbreaks.

  • To be honest, I’ve had some real concerns lately with the cleanliness at Joyful Seeds. It feels like every other week my little one is coming home with a new bug, and when I walk into the classrooms, things just don't look as scrubbed down as they should for a daycare. Communication about illnesses going around the center is pretty hit or miss too—I usually find out from another parent in the parking lot before I hear it from the staff. Plus, they seem really short-staffed half the time, which makes me wonder if they even have the bandwidth to follow proper sanitizing protocols or keep a close eye on kids who should probably be sent home. It’s a convenient location for Bridgeport, but for what we pay, I expected a much higher standard for health and hygiene.
