My kid has been at Owen for a couple of years now. It's a small magnet school which I usually love because it feels less chaotic, and the student-teacher ratio is actually pretty good (around 14:1). However, the communication about health stuff is just okay—nothing special. When a bug goes through the classroom, we usually hear about it late, and the building definitely shows its age. It’s a 'Commendable' school on paper, but I wish they put a bit more focus on the actual wellness and facility upkeep rather than just test prep. It's an average experience; they handle the basics, but don't expect a top-tier wellness program or super modern cleanliness standards.
