  • Honestly, it's a bit of a mixed bag at Dreams of Colors. The facility on Kedzie looks clean enough when you walk in, and the staff is super sweet with the little ones, but I do wish they were better about communicating when something is going around the classroom. It feels like every time one kid gets a sniffle, the whole room has it by Tuesday, and I don't always get a heads-up from the office. Their sick-child policy is standard, but they could definitely be stricter about making sure kids stay home until they are 100% better. It's an okay spot if you just need local care, but you'll definitely be dealing with the usual daycare germs pretty frequently.

  • Honestly, Dreams of Colors II has been pretty solid for us. The space on Kedzie always looks super clean when I drop off my daughter, and you don't get that weird 'old milk' smell some daycares have. They are really strict about the fever policy—if a kid is even slightly warm, they’re calling you to come pick them up. It’s annoying if you're at work, but honestly, it’s kept the flu from spreading through the whole class this winter, so I appreciate it. The staff is great about reminding the little ones to wash their hands, and they keep us in the loop if there’s a bug going around. Nothing fancy, but it's a safe, healthy spot for the kids.
