I honestly have mixed feelings about We Are the Future Presidents. While I wanted to love a local Washington Heights spot, the cleanliness just isn't where it needs to be for a daycare. My little one seems to come home with a new bug every other week, and when I walk into the facility, it doesn't always have that 'fresh' or scrubbed-down smell you'd expect. Communication about when illnesses are circulating in the classroom is pretty spotty too—I usually find out from another parent in the parking lot rather than an official notice. It feels like they’re understaffed and just trying to keep their heads above water, which makes me worry that things like hand-washing and sanitizing toys are slipping through the cracks.
