  • To be honest, I’ve been pretty let down with the health standards at School of Life. It feels like every other week there’s a stomach bug or some nasty cough ripping through the classroom, and I don't feel like the cleaning is as thorough as it needs to be for kids this young. The communication from the staff is pretty hit or miss; sometimes we get a heads-up about a breakout, but other times you find out from another parent in the parking lot. In a neighborhood like Englewood, we really need these spots to be a safe haven, but right now it feels like a revolving door for germs. I wish they'd be stricter with their sick policy because sending kids home early isn't enough if they're back the next morning still wiping their noses everywhere.

  • To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with how the health stuff is handled at School of Life. It feels like there is always something going around the classroom, and the communication from the staff about when a kid is sent home sick is super spotty. The building itself is older and definitely feels it—ventilation isn't great, and it sometimes feels like the cleaning isn't as deep as it should be for a preschool in Englewood. I’ve had to keep my little one home more than I’d like because the 'sick policy' doesn't seem to be enforced well, so kids just keep swapping the same colds back and forth. It’s a struggle because I want to love the place, but the wellness side of things is just really lagging.
