  • To be honest, I’ve had a pretty tough time with the health environment at this location. It’s a busy spot in Englewood, and while the staff is nice enough, it feels like my little one is coming home with a new bug every other week. The communication when there’s a breakout of HFMD or even just a bad cold going around is pretty hit or miss, which makes it hard for us to plan. I also have some concerns about the deep cleaning—with so many kids in that two-story space, it just doesn't always feel as scrubbed down as a daycare should be. It’s central and they offer transportation which is a plus, but if your kid has a sensitive immune system, I’d be careful. I really wish they’d be more strict about the sick-child policy because it feels like there’s always a kid with a heavy cough being dropped off.

  • My little one has been at the Halsted location for about six months now and I’m honestly pretty happy with the health side of things. It’s a two-story setup and they actually do a good job keeping the different age groups separated, which I think helps keep the germs from spreading too fast. They are really strict about the '24 hours fever-free' rule—which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but I appreciate that they aren't letting sick kids stick around and get everyone else's families sick. The place always smells clean when I drop off and they’re good about reminding us when it's time to bring in fresh crib sheets. Only downside is the communication on minor sniffles can be a little slow sometimes, but for an urban daycare, it’s a solid, clean spot.
