  • Honestly, I’m pretty worried about the environment at Wentworth lately. It feels like the building is constantly falling apart—I’ve seen board reports about them needing to rent floor scrubbers because their own equipment is broken, and there's always some last-minute plumbing or pipe repair going on. If the basic cleaning tools aren't even working, you have to wonder how well the classrooms are actually being sanitized against all the bugs going around. With how high the chronic absenteeism is here, it’s clear kids are either staying home sick or just not feeling motivated to show up to a building that feels neglected. It’s frustrating because our kids deserve a space that's actually clean and well-maintained, not one where they're constantly patching up old pipes and safety gear.

  • Wentworth is okay overall with health stuff, but it definitely feels like a city school. The staff is really great about calling you right away if your kid takes a tumble at recess or feels warm, which I appreciate. My biggest gripe is how fast colds spread through the classrooms—I wish they were a bit stricter about keeping sick kids home because it feels like once one kid gets a sniffle, the whole grade has it a week later. The building is older, but the halls usually look clean enough. I'd give it a solid average rating for wellness.
