Honestly, Pilsen Academy is just okay when it comes to the health side of things. The school is a bit older, so the ventilation isn't always the best and it can feel a little stuffy in the classrooms during flu season. I haven't seen anything majorly worrying like mold, but it definitely feels like they’re stretched thin. My biggest gripe is the communication; when a bug is going around the class, parents are usually the last to know, and the sick-child policy feels a bit lax—I've seen kids in the hallway with pretty heavy coughs. On the plus side, they do try to get the kids moving with things like the after-school Taekwondo, and the community vibe is strong, but I wish they had more dedicated staff to really stay on top of the wellness and cleanliness day-to-day.
