I've had my little one at Busy Bees on Ashland for a bit now and honestly, the cleanliness is what sold me. You know how some daycares have that 'old milk' smell? This place doesn't. The staff is super on top of wipedown routines, and I've noticed they’re pretty strict about the sick-child policy—which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but it keeps the seasonal crud from ripping through the whole classroom every two weeks. It feels like a smaller, community-focused spot where the teachers actually care if your kid is feeling 100%. My only gripe is that communication about minor sniffles can be a little hit or miss depending on which teacher is at the desk during pickup, but overall, it’s a solid, healthy environment for the kids.

Honestly, Busy Bees has been a lifesaver for us. The place is always spotless when I drop off my daughter, and you can tell they actually scrub the toys down daily. They are super strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule which can be a literal pain when you have to call out of work, but it definitely keeps the nasty bugs from spreading through the whole class every week. The teachers are great about texting updates if she seems a little sluggish or off her game, so I never feel out of the loop regarding her health.
