  • Honestly, I’m pretty concerned about the state of things at Armour Elementary lately. I saw on some public records that they’ve had issues with clogged floor drains for the boilers, and you can really tell the building’s plumbing and ventilation aren’t where they should be for little kids. It’s an old school and it feels like the maintenance just can’t keep up. With the chronic absenteeism rates being so high in CPS right now, you’d think they’d be more proactive about the physical environment, but it feels like we’re just waiting for the next thing to break. The teachers are trying, but the wellness culture is definitely struggling when the infrastructure is failing.
