To be honest, I'm pretty worried about the environment at Holmes. While I appreciate the teachers, it feels like the building itself is an uphill battle. The attendance rates have been super low lately, and honestly, the school feels constantly 'under the weather.' I’ve seen multiple budget transfers moving money away from our facility maintenance and into city-wide operations, and you can really tell. The ventilation is old, and it feels like every time one kid gets a sniffle, the whole Pre-K and Elementary wing is out for a week. We need more consistency with the cleaning and definitely more support for the kids' physical wellness beyond just a handbook policy.
