Northwest Middle School

To be honest, the health environment at Northwest Middle is pretty hit or miss. On one hand, the new principal is really trying to turn things around, but the building itself feels like it’s struggling to keep up. I’ve seen some public reports about 'damaged' property and maintenance issues, and you can definitely feel it in the hallways—some areas just don't feel as clean or well-ventilated as they should for a middle school. My kid says the bathrooms are often out of soap or just messy, which makes me worried about how they’re handling flu season. The communication about illnesses going around is pretty spotty too. It’s hard to feel great about the wellness culture when the physical space feels a bit neglected. I want to love it because the staff is nice, but they really need to step up the sanitation and building upkeep.
