  • Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with the wellness vibe at Hanson Park. My biggest concern is the cleanliness—I saw a board report recently about maintenance equipment like vacuums not even working because of battery issues, and you can really tell when you walk through the halls. It just doesn't feel like a deep clean is ever happening. Plus, the attendance here is a massive red flag. When you hear that literally zero kids in the preschool program showed up during health spikes, it tells you everything you need to know about how much parents trust the school to keep their little ones safe and healthy. It feels like the school is constantly playing catch-up with germs rather than being proactive. Between the huge student population and the clear struggle to keep up with basic repairs/cleaning, I’m always worried my kid is going to bring something home. Definitely not the environment I was hoping for.

  • My youngest is at Hanson Park, and honestly, the health stuff is a bit of a mixed bag. The nurse there is super sweet and really tries her best, but the school is just so big that it feels like colds and stomach bugs spread like wildfire through the classrooms. They are pretty strict about the '24 hours fever-free' rule which I appreciate, though sometimes the communication about lice or flu outbreaks in the grade could be a little faster. It’s an older building so it’s not always sparkling, but you can tell the janitorial staff works hard to keep up with all those kids.
