  • To be honest, I’ve been pretty frustrated with the health and cleanliness over at Lloyd lately. I saw some public records about basic maintenance equipment like vacuums being broken and not replaced quickly, and you can really tell when you walk through the halls—it just doesn't feel like the deep cleaning is happening. On top of that, the chronic absenteeism is super high here, way over 25%, and it feels like there’s always a bug going around because the sick-child policies aren't strictly enforced. With the student-to-teacher ratios being what they are, the staff just seems too stretched thin to keep an eye on whether the kids are actually washing their hands or if the classrooms are being properly ventilated. It’s tough because the teachers are nice, but the building environment definitely needs more resources and better upkeep for our kids' health.

  • Lloyd has been pretty solid for my youngest. The hallways always smell like they've just been mopped with that citrus cleaner, which makes me feel better about the flu season craziness. Communication is decent too; the nurse actually calls if there's a stomach bug going around the classroom so we can keep an eye out. My only gripe is the school yard can get a bit muddy and messy after it rains, but overall the staff really seems to care about keeping the kids healthy and active.
