  • Honestly, Christopher House is okay, but it’s definitely a mixed bag. The facility at Belden Ave is usually clean enough, but since they cover everything from little daycare kids to older students, it feels like germs just cycle through the building constantly. It’s hard for the staff to keep up with every runny nose when they’re juggling so many different age groups. My main gripe is the communication—some days you get a heads-up about a bug going around, and other times you only find out when your own kid wakes up with a fever. It’s a decent neighborhood option and the staff is caring, but I wish they had a more proactive approach to wellness and felt less chaotic during peak flu season.

  • Honestly, I’ve been really happy with how Christopher House handles things. It’s a busy daycare since it’s on two floors, but the staff is usually on top of the cleaning. When that nasty stomach bug was going around Belmont Cragin last month, the teachers were super proactive about sanitizing everything and they actually messaged us right away so we could keep an eye out for symptoms. Their sick policy is pretty firm—they don't let kids back too early—which can be a pain if you're a working parent, but it definitely keeps the whole class from catching every little sniffle. Only downside is sometimes the communication through the app can be a little delayed when it's a hectic morning, but overall it's a really solid, healthy environment for my little one.
