  • It's a pretty standard daycare setup for Bridgeport. The location on Halsted is super convenient for my commute, which is the main plus. As far as the health vibes go, it’s hit or miss. I’ve noticed the classrooms can get pretty cramped since they are on the first and second floors, and when one kid gets a sniffle, it seems to go through the whole class in days. They aren't always the fastest at calling parents about minor stuff, so you kind of just find out at pickup. It’s not terrible, but it definitely feels like a typical urban center where germs just live. I wish they were a bit more transparent with their cleaning schedules or if they have a dedicated nurse on site more often.

  • My toddler has been at Ivy Garden on Halsted for about six months now and honestly, I'm pretty happy with how clean they keep the place. Being in an urban area with two floors, I was worried it might feel cramped or stuffy, but the rooms always smell fresh when I drop him off. They’re super strict about their sick policy—if a kid has a runny nose that isn't clear, they’re calling you to pick them up. It’s a bit of a pain for working parents, but it definitely keeps the 'daycare crud' from spreading through the whole class every week. My only gripe is that communication about local flu spikes could be a bit faster, but overall the staff really cares about keeping the germs at bay.
