Inquiring Mindz

Inquiring Mindz is okay, but it’s pretty much your standard city daycare experience. The staff is really sweet and they do some cool cultural activities—I remember them doing a whole thing on Black aviators which my kid loved—but the health side of things is a bit hit or miss. It feels like every time one kid gets a sniffle, the whole class has it by Wednesday. I wish they were a little more strict with the sick policy because it feels like I'm constantly getting 'incident reports' for minor stuff while actual bugs just loop through the building. The facility is kept decent, but it definitely has that 'well-loved' urban daycare wear and tear. It’s fine if you need local care in Ashburn, just keep the hand sanitizer ready.

Honestly, I’ve been pretty impressed with how Inquiring Mindz handles all the germs that come with daycare. The facility on Kedzie always smells clean when I drop off my son, and you can tell the staff actually wipes things down. They’re super strict about the ‘24-hour fever-free’ rule which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but I appreciate that it keeps the whole class from getting taken out by a bug. Communication is usually via text or a quick chat at pickup, so I always feel in the loop if something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around the neighborhood.
