Honestly, the attendance situation at Goudy is a huge red flag for me. It’s hard to feel like my kid is in a healthy environment when chronic absenteeism is over 25%. It feels like there’s always something going around and the school is just struggling to keep up with it. The class sizes are also way too big, usually over 25 kids to one teacher, which makes it impossible to prevent germs from spreading like wildfire. With so many kids squeezed into these rooms, the ventilation doesn't feel great, and I’m constantly worried about the next bug coming home. It’s frustrating because the neighborhood is great, but the school’s health culture just feels overwhelmed and under-resourced.
