Concordia Place

Honestly, I've been pretty happy with how Concordia handles things on the health front. The Ravenswood location always feels super clean when I drop off, and they're really strict about the sick child policy—which can be annoying when you have to stay home, but it definitely keeps the revolving door of germs at a minimum. I haven't seen any of the cleanliness issues you sometimes hear about with larger city daycares, and the staff seems really on top of handwashing and keeping the play areas sanitized. It feels like a safe, professional environment where they actually care about the kids not just passing around every bug that hits Chicago.

Honestly, Concordia Place is such a mixed bag when it comes to the health stuff. On one hand, the facilities in Ravenswood usually look pretty clean, and they definitely have a professional vibe. But like every daycare in the city, the communication about sickness feels a bit hit-or-miss. There have been times when 'something' is going around the classroom and we don't hear about it until half the kids are already out. Their sick policy is standard, but it can be frustrating when you feel like the rules only apply depending on which teacher is at the door that morning. It’s an okay daycare, but I wouldn't say they go above and beyond with wellness; it's mostly just trying to survive cold and flu season like everyone else.
