  • I've been sending my son to Crown Daycare for a bit now and honestly, I'm pretty relieved with the health standards there. Since it’s a smaller facility in Uptown, I was worried it might feel cramped or dirty, but they actually do a great job keeping the play areas sanitized. They are really strict about their sick policy—if a kid has a runny nose or a fever, they aren't letting them in, which is annoying when you have to work, but it definitely keeps the 'daycare plague' from spreading to everyone else. The communication is decent too; when a bug was going around last month, the staff let us know right away so we could keep an eye out for symptoms at home. It’s a solid, clean spot for the kids.

  • My toddler has been at Crown for about 6 months now and honestly, the health stuff is handled pretty well. They are super strict about the '24-hour fever free' rule which can be annoying when you're trying to get to work, but it definitely keeps the classroom plagues to a minimum. The center on Sheridan looks a bit older from the outside, but it's always clean inside and doesn't have that weird 'old milk' smell some daycares get. I really appreciate that the teachers actually make the kids wash their hands the second they walk into the classroom; it's made a huge difference in how many colds we bring home compared to our last place.
