Honestly, the health situation at Songhai is pretty rough and I'm getting frustrated. The school has been struggling with a chronic absenteeism rate that's way over 25%, and you can really feel it in the hallways. It feels like there is always a bug going around because the attendance is so low. I haven't seen much in the way of updated wellness programs lately, and with the student-to-teacher ratios where they are, I don't think the staff can really keep an eye on who is coming in sick. It’s a lot of 'survival mode' rather than a healthy learning environment. I wish they'd focus more on the actual state of the building and the kids' well-being instead of just old partnerships from years ago.
