Amazing Grace Daycare Center

To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with the situation at Amazing Grace lately. It feels like my little one is coming home with a new bug every other week, and the communication about what’s going around the classroom is basically non-existent. The facility doesn't always look the cleanest when I do pickup, and with the way colds just tear through the groups there, I really question how often they're actually disinfecting the toys and common areas. It feels like they are short-staffed half the time, so the teachers are too overwhelmed to even keep up with basic stuff like wiping noses or catching symptoms early. I'm seriously considering looking for another spot in Roseland that takes wellness a bit more seriously because constant sick days are just not sustainable for us.

Honestly, I've been pretty happy with how Amazing Grace handles things. It's a daycare, so you expect some sniffles to go around, but they’re actually really on top of cleaning the toys and the common areas. They sent home a message right away when hand foot and mouth was going around the neighborhood, which I appreciated so I could keep an eye out. The sick policy is standard—24 hours fever-free—and they actually enforce it, which keeps the whole place a lot healthier for the other kids. The building on Halsted looks a bit older, but it’s always tidy inside and the teachers genuinely care about the kids staying well.
