Children's Center INC

Honestly, I've had some real concerns lately with the health environment at Children's Center on Halsted. While the staff is nice enough, the communication about illnesses going around the classroom is basically nonexistent. It feels like every other week my kid is coming home with a new bug, and I never get a heads-up from the school until it's already spreading through the whole group. The facility itself is looking pretty worn down and doesn't always have that 'clean' smell you'd hope for in a daycare. With so many kids packed into the space, I really worry about the ventilation and how they're handling sanitizing the toys and common areas. It feels more like they're just getting by rather than prioritizing a healthy space for the little ones.

I've had my little one at Children's Center Inc. for a while now, and honestly, the health stuff is pretty solid. The place always smells clean when I walk in—not like heavy bleach, but just fresh. They're super strict about their sick policy, which can be a pain if you're a working parent, but it definitely keeps the cycles of flu and colds from ripping through the whole classroom every other week. Communication is okay; they usually give us a heads-up if something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around, though sometimes the notifications come a day later than I'd like. Overall, I feel like they really care about the kids not just learning, but actually staying healthy.
