Oriole Park is alright, but it’s definitely showing the typical CPS wear and tear lately. I noticed in some of the recent facility reports that they’ve had issues with heat detectors and battery backups needing replacement, which always makes me slightly nervous about the infrastructure. Plus, with the neighborhood library being so packed with kids after school, it feels like the germs just cycle through the whole community. Every time one kid gets a sniffle, the entire grade seems to go down with it within the week. Communication from the office about illness outbreaks is pretty hit-or-miss; you usually hear more from the parent Facebook group than from the school nurse. It's a decent school for the area, but I wouldn't say they're doing anything groundbreaking for wellness.
