Honestly, New Field is a bit of a mixed bag. The preschool program is great for early development, but like most CPS schools in older buildings, I definitely worry about the air quality and general cleanliness during flu season. My kid seems to bring home every bug going around, and while the office is okay about calling when there's a fever, the communication on general 'wellness' could be way better. It feels like they are spread pretty thin, so don't expect a lot of individual attention from a nurse unless it's a major emergency. It’s an okay neighborhood school, but nothing to write home about in terms of health policies.
