  • Lake Shore Schools is okay, but I've definitely had some ups and downs with the health side of things. It’s a typical urban daycare—the space is a bit tight on Greenview and it feels like when one kid gets a sniffle, the whole toddler room has it by Tuesday. I appreciate that they’re actively trying to hire more staff lately (saw some ads for assistant teachers), but until those spots are filled, the teacher-to-child ratio feels a bit stretched, and I think that’s why the deep cleaning doesn't always happen as often as I’d like. On the plus side, they do some cute neighborhood wellness stuff and community block parties, which is nice for the kids' social health, but keep your hand sanitizer ready in your diaper bag because the germ sharing is real here.
