  • I'm really torn about Eyes on the Future. While the staff seems reasonably nice, I'm honestly super concerned about the actual environment of the facility. It feels like they are constantly cycle-hiring for teachers on Indeed and Glassdoor, which makes me worry about the consistency of care and if the rooms are ever actually getting the deep cleaning they need. When there's high turnover, the basic health protocols usually slide first. My biggest issue is the lack of communication when stuff is going around. It feels like a total revolving door of sniffles and rashes, and I rarely get a heads-up until my kid is already coming down with something. For the price and the 'professional development' they claim to have, I expected a much tighter ship regarding sanitization and sick-child policies. It feels more like a crowded waiting room than a wellness-focused daycare lately.

  • My toddler has been at Eyes on the Future for about 6 months now and I’m honestly pretty happy with the health vibe there. The Rogers Park location is super convenient, and you can tell they actually try to stay on top of the cleaning—it doesn't have that weird 'old daycare' smell, which is a big win for me. They're pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a pain when you have to call off work, but it definitely keeps the revolving door of stomach bugs in check. Communication is solid too; I usually get an email or a note if something like hand, foot, and mouth is going around the classroom so I know what to look out for. Only downside is the outdoor play area is a bit small since it's an urban spot, but they do their best to get the kids moving every day.
