  • Honestly, Alcott is kind of a mixed bag when it comes to the health stuff. On one hand, the Lincoln Park location is great and the community generally looks out for each other, but the school feels every bit of its age. The hallways can get pretty stuffy, and I definitely worry about the ventilation during flu season because once a bug starts going around Room 14, it seems like the whole grade is out within a week. Communication from the office about illness outbreaks is okay, but it’s mostly just the standard 'wash your hands' emails. I haven't seen anything that really blows me away regarding wellness programs—it's mostly just the basics. It’s a decent school, but I wish they’d invest more in modernizing the building's air quality and being a bit more proactive with their sick policies instead of just reacting when half the class is missing.
