J and L Family Leaning Center 2

To be honest, I’ve been pretty frustrated with the health situation here lately. It feels like every other week my little one is coming home with a new bug, and I’ve seen kids dropped off who are clearly too sick to be there. I know daycares are germ hubs, but the illness communication is basically nonexistent—you just find out when your kid starts coughing. The facility itself feels a bit cramped since it’s on the ground floor of the building, and I’ve noticed the cleanliness in the common areas can be a hit or miss. It’s hard to feel great about the wellness culture when it seems like they're always understaffed and just trying to keep their heads above water.

My little one has been at J and L for a few months now and I’m honestly pretty happy with the health side of things. The center is always super clean when I drop off, and they’re really on top of making sure the kids wash their hands. They have a pretty strict policy about keeping sick kids home which can be a literal headache for work, but honestly, it’s kept the usual daycare bugs from spreading through the whole class every week. The staff is great about calling me right away if my daughter feels warm or isn't acting like herself. Could they be a little better about sending out email updates when something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around? Sure, but overall it's a solid, healthy spot for the kids.
