  • Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Guidepost Bucktown. On one hand, the classrooms look super clean and the facility is modern, which is a relief when you have a toddler putting everything in their mouth. My daughter is in the immersion program and she's thriving with the guides, but I’ve been feeling really uneasy lately about all the corporate drama. I've heard some teachers complaining about high turnover and a toxic vibe behind the scenes, which makes me worry about how consistent the care and health protocols really are. It’s hard to feel great about wellness when the staff seems stressed or like they might leave at any moment. It’s been okay so far, but I’m keeping a close eye on things given all the closures I'm seeing online.

  • My toddler's been at Guidepost Bucktown for about six months now and honestly, I'm pretty relieved with how they handle all the germ stuff. Since it's a Montessori setup, the kids are always working with their hands, and I see the teachers keeping the materials really tidy and making sure the little ones actually wash up before snack time. They’re super strict about the fever policy—which is a pain if you have to miss work—but it definitely helps stop those preschool stomach bugs from wiping out the whole class. They also send out quick emails whenever something like HFM or a cold is going around so we aren't caught off guard. Only real downside is the pick-up area can feel a bit cramped, but overall the school feels fresh and not like a typical 'germ factory' daycare.
