  • Honestly, I've been pretty impressed with how NNM handles things. Since it's a private Montessori, you're paying for that extra attention and it shows in the cleanliness of the classrooms—they don't have that 'old gym sock' smell you get in some Chicago schools. Their parent handbook is super detailed about their health protocols, and they actually stick to the sick-child policies, which I appreciate even if it's a pain when my kid has to stay home for a runny nose. The ratios are solid so the teachers actually notice if a kid is looking sluggish or coming down with something before it spreads to the whole pod. It feels like a safe, healthy environment overall, though I do wish they'd communicate a bit faster when there's a specific bug going around a certain grade level.
