  • City Children's Academy is okay, but honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me as a parent. The location in the West Loop is super convenient for work, and I do like that they emphasize 'clean eating' and healthy meals for the kids, which isn't always a given at daycares. However, being a busy urban center, it feels like there is always a bug going around. The communication when someone in the class gets sick could definitely be more proactive—sometimes I only find out a stomach flu is circulating after my little one starts showing symptoms. It's a professional setup and they seem to keep the actual facility clean, but I'm not totally blown away by their wellness policies compared to what you pay.

  • I've had my daughter at City Children's Academy for about six months now and overall it's been pretty solid. It’s the West Loop, so space is tight, but they keep the classrooms super clean and I rarely see dust or sticky spots. They are really strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule which can be a pain when you're trying to get to work, but honestly, it keeps the seasonal bugs from wiping out the whole class, so I appreciate it. The teachers are great about pinging us on the app if someone in the room gets diagnosed with hand, foot, and mouth or whatever else is going around. My only minor gripe is that since they're right in the city, outdoor time is a bit limited, but they do their best to get the kids moving. Definitely a reliable spot if you're working downtown.
