  • I honestly have some mixed feelings about First Academy. While the teachers seem nice enough, the space itself feels a bit cramped since it's split over two floors in an urban building, and I’ve noticed the cleanliness isn't always up to par. It feels like every other week my little one is coming home with a new bug, and the communication regarding illness outbreaks in the classrooms is pretty spotty. Plus, looking at the city records, this location is flagged as a 'High Risk' facility for health inspections, which definitely makes me uneasy as a parent. I really wish they would step up their sanitizing game and be more transparent when kids are getting sick.

  • Honestly, First Academy has been pretty solid since my little one started. The space on Peterson is kept really tidy, and you can tell they actually scrub the toys down which is a huge relief during flu season. They’re super quick about sending out emails if a case of HFM or pink eye pops up in a classroom, so I never feel like I'm the last to know. My only tiny gripe is the sick policy is really strict—like, don't even try to bring them in with a lingering clear runny nose—but I guess that’s why the whole school doesn't get wiped out at once. It's a nice, clean spot for being right in the city.
