Honestly, the vibe at Cornerstone is a bit hit or misses. Being in that office building on Wells, the air can feel a little stuffy since there aren't many windows that actually open, which always makes me worry when flu season hits. They’re pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which I appreciate, but I've definitely seen some kids dropped off with 'allergies' that look suspiciously like heavy colds. The staff is sweet, but it feels like they’re constantly playing catch-up with sanitizing the shared play areas. It's okay for an urban daycare, just nothing spectacular on the wellness front.

We've been at Cornerstone for a few months now and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with how they handle the usual daycare germs. Since it’s right there on Wells St in a busier area, I was worried about it being a bit cramped or messy, but the facility is actually kept really clean. They are super strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule, which can be a total pain when you're trying to get to work, but it definitely keeps the classroom plagues to a minimum. My daughter’s teacher is great about reminding the kids to wash their hands, and they actually send out emails if something like HFM is going around so we aren't caught off guard. Only downside is the outdoor air quality can be a bit 'urban' sometimes since it's downtown, but they have good filters inside. Overall, a solid, healthy spot for the kids.
