Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the health and wellness vibe at Contemporary Preschool. Since it's in the Gold Coast area, they are super diligent about keepings things clean, which is a huge relief when you have a toddler. They do daily walks and park play whenever the Chicago weather cooperates, and they even have yoga and music classes that keep the kids active instead of just sitting around. They are NAEYC accredited, so they actually follow strict safety and health protocols, and the communication whenever a bug is going around the classroom is always quick and transparent. It feels like a very nurturing, high-end environment where wellness isn't just an afterthought.

My daughter has been at Contemporary Preschool for about a year now. Since it's located right in the 1400 building, the facility is super clean and well-kept, which is a big relief for us. They’re pretty strict with the sick policy—if there's a fever or a weird rash, you're definitely getting a call to come pick them up immediately. It can be a little annoying when you're at work, but it honestly keeps the seasonal bugs from wiping out the whole classroom. The teachers are great about reminding the kids to wash their hands, especially being in an urban high-rise setting where everyone is sharing elevators. I do wish they had a bit more designated outdoor space for physical movement during the winter, but overall the health vibe is solid.
