To be honest, I’ve been pretty underwhelmed with how things are handled at Woodlawn Community. The building itself is older and feels a bit neglected—I’ve heard other parents complaining about plumbing issues and old sinks needing repairs, which makes you wonder about the overall hygiene in the bathrooms and classrooms. My biggest gripe is the attendance culture; it feels like kids are constantly out and there isn't much urgency or a clear wellness plan to keep the environment healthy. Communication about when bugs or sicknesses are going around the pre-K classrooms is pretty hit or miss, which is frustrating when you have little ones at home. It’s a convenient spot in the neighborhood, but they really need to step up the maintenance and health protocols if they want parents to feel totally comfortable dropping their kids off every morning.
