  • Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag at Busy Bumble Bee. They definitely talk a big game about their 'enhanced cleaning' protocols lately, and I do see the staff wiping down the play areas more than they used to, which is a relief. They're part of that city prevention program, so they do follow the basic health checklists and keep the teacher-to-kid ratios where they need to be legally. However, it still feels like a typical daycare where stuff spreads fast. I’ve had to pick up my little one quite a few times for random bugs that seem to circle the classroom for weeks. It’s okay if you need child care in Woodlawn and want somewhere that follows the standard safety rules, but don't expect a miracle 'germ-free' zone—it's pretty average on the wellness front.

  • My toddler has been at Busy Bumble Bee for almost a year and overall I'm really happy with how they handle germs. They are super strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule which can be a pain for working parents, but honestly, it keeps the whole class from getting sick every other week. The teachers are great about reminding the kids to wash their hands, and you can tell they actually deep clean the toys. My only tiny gripe is that communication about local flu outbreaks could be a bit faster, but the staff is so caring that I usually feel okay about sending my little one there.
