I honestly struggle with the environment at Mayo. While the staff tries to push that 'can do' spirit, the reality of the health situation is stressful. The building feels really dated and the cleanliness is definitely hit or miss—I've seen dust buildup and the ventilation just doesn't feel great in the winter. Plus, it seems like there's always a bug going around because the attendance is so low. If kids aren't showing up because they're sick or there's no support, it makes it hard for the ones who are there to actually stay healthy. Overall, it just doesn't feel like the wellness of the kids is a priority compared to other CPS schools.
