Christian L-E-G Early Learning Center

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about L-E-G. The facility itself is usually pretty tidy and the staff is really friendly whenever I'm there, which is a plus for a Bronzeville daycare. But like a lot of these centers in the city, I feel like they are constantly playing catch-up with whatever bug is going around. Communication about illnesses in the classroom could definitely be faster, and some of the sick policies feel a bit lax depending on who is at the front desk. It's an okay spot if you need something local, but you'll definitely want to keep your own hand sanitizer in the car.

Totally love the vibe at Christian L-E-G. Since it’s a smaller spot in Bronzeville, you really get that community feel where the teachers actually notice if your kid seems a little 'off' or lethargic before a fever even starts. They’re pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule which can be a hassle when you’re working, but honestly, it keeps the seasonal bugs from ripping through the whole classroom every other week. The facility always smells clean when I drop off my daughter, and they’ve been great about reminding everyone to keep up with vaccinations and hand washing. Only downside is the communication can be a little old-school sometimes, but they genuinely care about the kids staying healthy.
