  • Tbh I'm pretty frustrated with the health situation at West Ridge right now. The chronic absenteeism rate is around 30%, which is honestly wild, and it feels like there’s always something going around because of it. My kid’s class is constantly half-empty, and the communication from the school about what's actually spreading—be it flu or whatever—is super vague. I saw they just had to put in quotes to replace the lighting in the cafeteria because it was so outdated, which makes me wonder what else in the building is being neglected. While they have that fancy green roof that they like to brag about, I'd much rather they focus more on basic cleanliness and getting the attendance up. It feels like the school is just overwhelmed and can't keep up with basic wellness stuff.
