To be honest, I'm pretty concerned about the health environment at Future Focus. The space feels really cramped and honestly doesn't always look the cleanest when I drop my kid off in the mornings. It seems like as soon as one kid gets a sniffle, the whole class has it two days later, and I don't feel like they're being aggressive enough with sanitizing the toys or common areas. Also, they are super understaffed—I rarely see the same familiar faces, which makes me worry about how closely they’re actually watching the kids or if they even notice when someone is acting 'off' or coming down with something. For what we pay, I expected a lot more focus on basic hygiene and better communication when illnesses are going around the room.

Honestly, I've been pretty happy with how Future Focus handles things. My toddler is at the North Western Ave location and I’ve noticed they’re really on top of cleaning the toys and the common areas—you don’t get that 'stale' daycare smell when you walk in. They’re pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a total pain when you have to call out of work, but it definitely keeps the nasty bugs from spreading through the whole class every week. The staff is great about sending quick updates if something like hand, foot, and mouth is going around, so at least we aren't flying blind. It's not perfect, and communication can be a little slow on busy days, but I feel like my kid is in a safe, healthy spot.
