Honestly, the health and wellness situation at West Park is pretty rough. My kid is in a class that feels way too crowded, and when you have a 28:1 student-teacher ratio, it's impossible for the staff to stay on top of germs or notice when kids are coming in sick. The chronic absenteeism rate is over 30%, which is a huge red flag—it feels like half the school is constantly out, and there isn't much urgency from the administration about it. I'm also really concerned about the old building; the ventilation isn't great, and it always feels a bit stuffy and neglected. It's frustrating because the arts focus is nice, but I'm tired of the constant 'your child was exposed' letters and the general lack of a solid wellness culture.
